As I grew up in my tiny hometown in Japan, I was always inspired by the great nature around my house. I naturally started to sing, dance and explore my creativities in mountains and gardens as a child.
I had a striking experience at age of 4 when I went to see first musical theater show. I was mesmerized by the professional energetic singing and dancing, and I was crying at the end of the show. That's when I decided I want to sing and dance in the rest of my life. Somehow, I felt like it is an agreement with the universe I am here to give back the great energy to the world.
I was always different from all the classmates in my small hometown deep in the mountain and was constantly wishing to fly to other countries and meet people from all over the world.
After I studied Voice and Dance many years in Japan, I came to NYC. I have been living here for more than 10 years since then.
I fell in love with NYC. The city makes me feel so natural and strong.The city is filled with creative spirits and I love interacting with all the people who somehow ended up here. It reminds me how we are all uniquely created for each other, and the city teaches me to just to be myself. Just to be with my own expressions.
My Story
Hito Star is a multitalented artist (singer-songwriter/dancer/model/actress/Influencer) based in NYC originally from Japan. She writes all of her songs from her own life experiences both in English and Japanese released on all platforms in the U.S. and around the world.
After performing shows at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center and many other major and minor venues in NYC, she officially became an influencer/ambassador for Carnegie Hall in NYC in 2022. She performed for the movie “The Lord of the Rings”at Radio City Music Hall. She also sang as a solo soprano at the most well known Japanese film Composer/ Musician, Joe Hisaishi’s Symphonic Concert at Radio City Music Hall. (Hayao Miyazaki/ Studio Gibli Films)
Hito stays active in NYC and internationally, and she believes we can create peace in the world by inspiring and loving ourselves.
After her solo debut in 2020, Hito has been blessed to work with Grammy winning Multi-platinum engineers, Mikaelin ‘Blue’ BlueSpruce (Mariah Carey, Solange Knowles, H.E.R. , Lil Wayne, Jennifer Lopez, Camila Cabello, Nas, Lin Manuel, Tinashe, Kendrick Lamar) , Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, The Weeknd, Big Sean, The Killers, Tiesto, Imagine Dragons, Bon Jovi, 21 Savage, Young Thug, 50 Cent, GZA, Talib Kweli), Dan The Man (Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Big Pun, Maria Carey, French Montana, Young MA, Smoke DZA, Robert Glasper), J Sounds (Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Ty $, Ed Sheeran , Solange, 21 Savage, Lil UZI ) and many more.
In 2023, Hito just got selected as last 5 artists out of 100 artists who got interviewed to work with top producers from NYC and London. (GSS Project) .
A native of Shizuoka, Japan, in her early years, Hito practiced piano, voice and modern ballet. She studied vocal performance at Hamamatsu Gakugei High School, Showa Music University and Morningside College. She completed her music degree in voice. After completing her formal education in music, she continued to study various dance styles such as classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, hip-hop, afro Brazilian, etc.
Since Hito came to NYC, she performed at Barclays Center, Lincoln Center, BAM, National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Gotham Hall and La MaMa Theatre. She performed in Fringe NYC, Tribeca Film Festival, Toy of the Year Award, and the DUMBO Dance Festival. She worked with actors and artists from various genres such as Whoopi Goldberg,Danny Elfman, Catherine O'hara, N'dea Davenport (Brand New Heavies) and many more.
In 2017, Hito performed at Barclays Center for New York Premier Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" Live-to-Film concert with Danny Elfman and Catherine O'hara. She performed as soprano in the orchestra.
Hito has taught dance, art, music, nutrition, and mental health maintenance to typically developing children as well as those with disabilities in New York City for more than 6 years.
She leads her energetic, sexy open adult Dance Car classes at Steps on Broadway and at Columbia University.
Hito is grateful to be able to perform, teach, inspire and transform others with her talent. She stays active in NYC and believes we can create peace in the world by inspiring and loving ourselves.
Bio
野澤 瞳
静岡県浜松市出身。大自然の中で育ち、幼いうちから家の周りの山の中でダンス、歌の創作活動を始める。とても小さな町の中で、常に自分は周りと違うという窮屈さを感じて、いつか海外に住んで世界中の人たちと友達になりたいと願う。
４歳の時に初めて観たミュージカルで感動、大泣きする。その日、ダンスと歌で人を元気にすることを決意。両親より音楽の影響をうけて育ち、さまざまな講師のもとでピアノ、モダンバレエのレッスンを受ける。浜松学芸高校、昭和音楽大学では声楽を先攻し、その他様々な音楽の基礎の教育を受ける。
その後、米国 Morningside College への音楽奨学金を受け編入、同大学にてオペラ、ダンス、ミュージカルの舞台に出演した後、芸術学士号（音楽）課程を終了し卒業。音楽専攻での教育に加え、ニューヨークにてクラッシック、モダンバレエ、コンテンポラリー、ジャズ、ヒップホップ、サンバ、アフロブラジリアン等、様々なダンスのクラスを受講する。
ずっと憧れていたニューヨークで、シンガー、ダンサーと活動的にパフォーマンスを始め、多様なジャンルのプロのカンパニー、プロジェクトの公演に参加する。最初の年から幸運に恵まれて、大きなショーにいくつも出演する機会をもらう。
グラミー賞受賞プロデューサー達とシングルを１０曲以上レコーディングし、世界中の全プラットフォームで配信中。2022年にカーネギーホールの正式インフルエンサーとして選ばれ、カーネギーホールとのコラボレーション活動をする。
宮崎駿・スタジオジブリ映画の作曲者久石譲とのラジオシティー・ミュージックホールのオーケストラとの公演にソプラノのソロとして出演し、１００人以上の海外シンガーの日本語の歌詞の指導をする。その他、ハリウッド映画「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング」のオーケストラとの公演にもラジオシティーで出演。
ハリウッド女優ウーピー・ゴールドバーグ、ブランニューへビーズのシンガー、エンディア・デヴォンポートなどをはじめ多岐に渡ったジャンルの人たちと共演。
ブルックリン・バークレーセンターにてハリウッド映画のトップ作曲家ダニー・エルフマンと、ティム・バートン監督のディズニー映画「ナイトメア・ビフォアー・クリスマス」の映画上映とオーケストラのプレミア生公演に唯一の日本人シンガーとして選ばれる。映画のオリジナルキャスト、ダニーエルフマンやハリウッド女優キャサリン・オハラ等と２万人の前で共演。
アメリカ合衆国の東海岸エリアを主に、リンカーンセンター、BAM、ワシントン国立美術館、フィラデルフィア美術館、ゴッサムホールなどその他多数にて公演を続ける。また、トライベッカ映画祭、フリンジフェスティバル、ダンボ・ダンスフェスティバル等ニューヨクでの主要なフェスティバルに数々出演。
公演の仕事をする傍ら、 ニューヨーク公立、私立幼稚園、小学校、高校、また養護学校にて子供のダンス、音楽、栄養学、心理学の教育に６年以上を通して赤ちゃんからティーンエイジャーまで、１０００人以上の子供たちに心と体と自己肯定感の大切さを教える経験を持つ。様々な人種、家庭環境の子供達一人一人にアートや音楽の素晴らしさ、自分を大切にすることの大事さを伝える。
また、人々にダンスやアートを通して健康に美しくなって欲しいという願いから、コロンビア大学をはじめマンハッタン、ブルックリンのフィットネスクラブにて毎週エネルギッシュでセクシーなズンバ・ダンスエクササイズのクラスを多くのニューヨーカーに教える。
